–Do you ever get wistful daydreaming of the adventures that the world offers, wishing to ride off the beaten path, being immersed in nature on two wheels? Before you start making excuses, consider seeking out experiences through your own riding community — better yet, come join AltRider on another one of their stellar weekend adventures, June 22 to 24. AltRider’s Conserve the Ride 2012 $275 entry fee gets riders two days of epic off-road riding on private land, five delicious meals, local brew, nightly presentations by ISDE racers, two nights of camping near the largest caves in Pennsylvania, and an unforgettable weekend. Riders will be supporting Seven Mountain Conservation Corp (SMCC) since proceeds from the event go to this non-profit organization, which is committed to keeping the off-road trails open for motorcyclists.
This exciting three-day event will kick off with an intense EnduroCross competition on SMCC’s custom built track with pro riders. Stunning forests surrounded by lush foliage, narrow bridges, sand crossings, never-ending gravel and rock trails — that’s just some of the diverse terrain that’s waiting to be ridden in the back roads. 160 miles have been mapped out (including GPS routes) to create an incredible ride for every skill level. Informative seminars from pro racers will teach off-road riding techniques so the riders can be confident in tackling the varied Pennsylvanian terrain. ISDE (International Six Days Enduro) racers will be presenting about the dangerous tales they’ve endeavored to cross the finish lines at national races. Scrumptious regional cuisine will be provided for all meals during the weekend with locally brewed beers waiting by the campfire. There will be prize giveaways and an auction to further donate to the SMCC cause.
Venture on this ride with AltRider for a weekend escape dedicated to a great cause. Riders interested in Conserve the Ride 2012 can check out www.AltRider.com to register or to get more information.
